Hi
Is anyone looking for an extra crew member? I am a reasonably competent sailor and would be happy to crew on any boat. Always happy for the experience. Available at weekends.

Helen,
Do you realise what you're letting yourself in for? They don't call him 'Harris the 'orrible' for nothing...
Crew schedule as follows;
1. Make skipper coffee & 3 bacon rolls
2. Scrub decks, heads and general clean below decks (leave blood stains from previous crew).
3. Make skipper tea with biscuits (don't ever forget the biscuits!)
4. Paint over blood stains left by previous crew.
5. Cast off (don't get any mud on decks or be keel hauled)
6. Make sure skipper has ample supply of cigarettes or else suffer...
7. Remove ends of previous crews fingers from winches.
8. Hide skippers cat o' nine tails or suffer....
9. Provide skipper with first beer
10. Provide skipper with 2nd beer
11. Provide skipper with 3rd beer
12. Make sure skipper starts race...in right direction
13. Receive abuse for not supplying 4th beer quick enough
14. Stop skipper falling over side
15. Remember your appointment for your psychiatrist!
16. Enjoy!

CREW:
Heavy stationary objects used shipboard to hold down corners of charts, anchor cushions in place and dampen sudden movements of the boom. |
